It is with deep regret and sadness that the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company announces the passing of active Firefighter and past Lieutenant, Christopher Burkett #489. For the last sixteen years Firefighter Burkett has honorably served the Town of Simsbury as a member of our organization. Our sincere condolences go out to the Burkett family and extended family during this difficult time. Firefighter Burkett previously served as a lieutenant and has been assigned to the Main Station and West Simsbury Station. Firefighter Burkett is a veteran of the United States Navy and served our country with honor and distinction. Please keep the entire Burkett family in your thoughts and prayers.
