The Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company and Simsbury Fire District joins the nation in remembering our fallen firefighters who gave the ultimate sacrifice while protecting the lives and properties of our communities.

Starting Sunday September 27th through Sunday October 4th all six fire stations plus our Frank Bradley Memorial at the Main Station will be illuminated in red lights in remembrance.

The loss of Firefighters to the perils of fire has also hit home right here in Simsbury where only days after the Fire Company was formed in 1944  Simsbury resident and volunteer firefighter Frank Bradley lost his life at the infamous Hartford Circus Fire.  We also suffered our only line of duty death with the loss of volunteer Lieutenant Richard Kelleher who died while fighting a structure fire at the Knights of Columbus building at Saint Mary's Church 39 years ago November 6, 1981.
