On October 2, 2019 two Simsbury Volunteer Firefighters were passengers aboard the vintage B17 that crashed at Bradley Airport.  While we are thankful that our members are among the survivors of this terrible tragedy, our hearts go out to all of the families of those that did not make it.  Firefighter Jim Traficante is currently recovering at home and Firefighter JT Huber is being treated at the Bridgeport Burn Center and will have a more extensive recovery ahead of him.  Over the last few weeks, there has been an outpouring of support and requests to help.  At this time, the Simsbury Firefighters Charitable Fund has been established to help with expenses that the two Simsbury Firefighters and their families may incur while recovering from their injuries.
